Secretary, THINC
Eugene Heslin is lead physician of Bridge Street Medical Group, a private practice which he began as a solo practitioner in 1992 in Saugerties, NY. In 2001, he became a member on the Kingston Hospital Board, and subsequently became chairman in 2006. Heslin was instrumental in the successful integration of a Catholic hospital and a secular hospital under a single corporate parent, now known as HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley, which he currently serves as chairman of the board.
Heslin earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemistry from Fordham University, and his medical degree from the University of Texas at Houston. He returned to his home state of New York to complete his training in family practice at the Mid-Hudson Family Health Institute Residency program in Kingston.
Heslin serves as medical director for the HealthAlliance diabetes programs, and serves as a diplomat of the American Board of Family Medicine and the Medical Society State of New York House of Delegates. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, and a member and past president of the Ulster County Medical Society. He has been active in health information technology initiatives, serving as one of the founding members of the THINC board, as well as on the NYeC board and executive committee.
